Our Review
The procurement of farm inputs worth ₦500 million by the state, along with the upcoming arrival of 65 additional trucks, demonstrates a significant investment in agriculture. The distribution of these inputs, including fertilizer sold at a 50% discount, aims to support smallholder farmers and enhance agricultural productivity. The initiatives taken to reposition the College of Agriculture Ganye, including addressing non-accreditation and funding issues, further indicate a commitment to agricultural education and development. Ensuring an uncompromised distribution chain and strict regulations against illegal sales are crucial for maximizing the benefits of these investments.
