Ikale Vanguard for Peace and Justice has warned Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, against being influenced by ethnic and opportunistic factions seeking to exploit his administration. This caution follows a call by the National Union Of Okitipupa Local Government Students for an investigation into the finances of Okitipupa Oil Palm (OOP) Plc and the removal of its Managing Director, Taiwo Adewole, over alleged fraud. The group, led by National Chairman Dr. Ademola Aiyekomogbon, asserts that these calls are driven by ethnic bias rather than genuine concerns. They praised Adewole for revitalizing the company and urged Aiyedatiwa to resist manipulations that could undo the progress achieved under the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. Source: The Guardian
Our Review
The Ikale Vanguard’s statement highlights the need for Governor Aiyedatiwa to remain vigilant against divisive and self-serving influences. It underscores the importance of maintaining the integrity and progress of OOP Plc, achieved through the late Governor Akeredolu’s administration. Ethnic politics and opportunism should not overshadow the genuine advancements made in the state’s agricultural sector.
