The Federal Government has created the Agriculture and Water Resources Joint Action Committee to tackle food security and inflation by leveraging resources from both ministries. Announced by Sen. Aliyu Abdullahi at the National Youth Convention in Abuja, this initiative supports President Bola Tinubu’s food security agenda through promoting dry-season farming, addressing the limits of relying solely on the rainy season.
The committee aims to integrate agricultural experts with River Basin Development Authorities for year-round farming and better use of Nigeria’s water resources.
