Agbeyewa Farms, a subsidiary of Cavista Holdings Limited, has committed to eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in Nigeria through its expansive agricultural initiatives, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s priorities. At the ongoing Odu’a International Trade Fair in Ibadan, Agbeyewa Farms’ Managing Director, Mr. Oskar Seyi Ayeleso, highlighted the company’s dedication to making Nigeria food-secure by producing high-quality food and cash crops.
Agbeyewa Farms has already cultivated 1,500 hectares of cassava across multiple locations and plans to expand to 10,000 hectares across nine communities by 2026. This expansion aligns with the company’s vision to be Africa’s leading agro-allied company and demonstrates its commitment to leveraging agriculture as a means of addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges.
To support its cassava operations, Agbeyewa Farms has invested significantly in equipment and human capacity, adding over 25 tractors with more expected before year-end. Agbeyewa also recently secured a landmark MOU with Ekiti State for 100,000 hectares dedicated to cassava cultivation. Through its In-grower and Out-grower schemes, the company aims to empower local farmers by providing access to machinery, inputs, and off-take agreements.
Earlier this year, Agbeyewa Farms hosted U.S. Embassy officials, strengthening international partnerships that support its agricultural initiatives and development goals.
