The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) is actively addressing the food crisis, economic challenges, and hunger nationwide through various strategies. Following discussions led by President Bola Tinubu, governors are implementing measures to tackle rising food prices. Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, alongside counterparts from Taraba, Ondo, and Kogi States, is collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to boost crop production. In Akwa Ibom, plans are underway to establish an agency to provide food items at lower prices. Yobe and Niger States have banned bulk purchases to combat hoarding and ensure food accessibility.
